Real Housewives of Boston

I am not ashamed to admit that I love The Real Housewives.  I love New York, New Jersey, Beverly Hills, and Atlanta.  I happen to love any reality show where bitches are throwing punches and the pinot grigio is flowing.  I am really not of discerning taste when it comes to baseless, television humor and I know it is degrading and anti feminist but those "housewives" are laughing all the way to the bank.  And since when is it ok for men to corner the market on making an ass of yourself?  All things being equal, I'd like to make sure I'm taking in all aspects of television stupidity in order to make sure I'm not leaving anyone out.  The only issue I have is that Boston has been left out of the fray.

Of course the main issue would be that you can't very well do downtown Boston.  It wouldn't be that amusing to sit in some WASPy ladies library in Beacon Hill and discuss architecture and charity events.  Massachusetts is a diverse and mystical place where all kinds of ladies exist.  For starters there are the shores.

Not the Jersey Shore, the North and South Shore.  For as different as these two groups think they are, they are actually remarkably similar some ways.  I am a South Shore native but I've put in some observation time on both shores for research purposes. I can only imagine how AWESOME  a show would be with these two groups of "ladies" battling it out.  I envision a boat, nail art, sangria, overdose of Talbots, Kelly's Roast Beef, bad accents, and fights...lots of fights.

Obviously this is an exciting prospect to me.  I love me some dirty hockey fights from both male and female teams and in my mind the RH franchise is just like that.  You freak out because someone "ices" you and then you throw down your stick (wine glass) and start to beat the shit out of them (both verbally and physically). Time goes by and that "bitch" who got a beat down last season is now your BFF because they've been traded to your team (created a new reality show alliance).  I don't know where I get this from.

I went to parochial and private schools my whole life.  I have a nice family, we drove Volvos and had Labradors.  For some reason though, both my brother and myself react favorably to stupid behavior.  I think I am freaking out 90% of the time either in relation to real or imagined stressors in my environment and once in a while it is nice to sit and watch something stupid without requiring any part of my brain to process the images onscreen.  We all need little breaks from our day.

Even if I love these shows even I can be turned off by them. I recently saw an audition tape for the proposed show Wicked Summah...eew.  My reaction was not one of welcome reception.  I think the dude was from Saugus and his behavior in this lame attempt to gain the producer's attention was gross.  I think when it is your won backyard you are a little more concerned with how these people represent your state.

I mean I know this past weekend while I was chowing down on burritos at 1am at JJ Foley's with my girlfriends while dancing to 70's music I exhibited the utmost class and elegance, that is just how I roll.
